Thet Lel and Ngwe Sin
Both of us learned about ASEAN DSE from one of our teachers. We decided to participate in ASEAN DSE after researching the program and considering the benefits it will bring to our studies and future career. Our first-time using SAP Analytics Cloud was very messy. But after practicing again and again, it finally became familiar. The SAP Analytics Cloud brought us to a new world of data science. With the help of SAP Analytics Cloud, data tells stories about our environment and nature. Our team is a combination of arts and science students, so there were many different views about the social issue we decided to deliberate. Finally, we decided to go with climate action because of our joint admiration for nature. In the ASEAN DSE competition, we got a chance to contribute our research to a major issue at the moment, especially for our environment. We thought our storyboard might be a little bit helpful in solving the climate change issue at the ASEAN level. Participating in the ASEAN DSE competition helped us a lot in our communication skills, exchanging knowledge, sharing opinions, etc., which are the most important 21st Century soft skills all youths must have. The world is changing into a digitalisation era, and so we, as youths, must not be outdated and should also be familiar with technology. According to the ASEAN DSE’s slogan “Today’s youth for Tomorrow’s World”, I strongly believe that with the help of technology, we can solve, share, and deliberate about social issues through data analytics and finally build a better world for the future.
